Inspirational travel books

Your soul is the whole world – Hermann Hesse, Siddhartha

We’re sitting here by the fire on a rainy October night and we started thinking of all the books that have inspired us over the years; not only to live freely outside of our comfort zone but to embrace our adventurous spirits.

Going back and forth with one another we express with excitement the books, pages, and lines that have moved us the most. It was easy for us to think of all the ‘classic’ travel books that ignite wanderlust, but we also thought about the ones that incited powerful life lessons that we have carried over into our years of globetrotting.

Here’s a list of our top inspirational travel books:

1- The Alchemist By Paulo Coelho

2- Into The Wild By Jon Krakauer

3- Sixty Metres To Anywhere By Brendan Leonard

4- A Fork In The Road: Tales Of Food And Travel By Anik See

6- The Beach By Alex Garland

7- Wild By Cheryl Strayed

8- On The Road By Jack Kerouac

9- Siddhartha By Hermann Hesse

10- My Family And Other Animals By Gerald Durrell
